Mandurah surfer wants more shark surveillance

Article image for Mandurah surfer wants more shark surveillance

The President of the Mandurah Board Riders admits he doesn’t believe members of his club would be too upset about the killing of a shark off Falcon yesterday.

Fisheries WA has confirmed the 4.2 metre great white caught on the drum lines close to where Ben Gerring was attacked on Tuesday, was not a tagged shark.

But MBR President Brian Williams has told Gary Adshead there should be more surveillance at WA’s beaches, rather than a full time drum line policy.
