Nine senior economics correspondent Shane Wright told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that Serpentine-Jarrahdale has grown 245 per cent since the turn of the century, while Swan has added 103,000 residents in 25 years.
Wright said WA presents a unique case: despite rapid growth in many areas, the state also leads the nation in council regions losing population.
“There is a real churn of the population across Western Australia”, Wright said.
