Perth Wildlife Encounters on the brink of collapse, sparking fears for Penguin Island
Perth Wildlife Encounters is on the verge of closure after a decade of uncertainty.
Chief executive Chad D’Souza told 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett that while Penguin Island remains a major drawcard for the Rockingham area, the 35-year-old business can no longer wait for the promised Discovery Centre and jetty repairs, warning that the island’s wildlife remains vulnerable.
“A massive iconic business like this that’s lasted 35 years and given back to the international markets and Western Australia is going to fold”, D’Souza said.
