A petition calling for a ban on traditional reversing beeps on trucks and utility vehicles has been presented to the City of Stirling.

“I hadn’t thought about it until the petition was presented recently at council, and I think I made a comment at the time: ‘Gee, that sounds pretty sensible to me’ ”, Irwin said.
