Alleged secret deal shifts brain injury liability to AFL player
Reports have surfaced of an unnamed Victorian AFL club allegedly striking a confidential deal with a player, shifting legal liability for future brain injuries to the athlete.

Despite reportedly suffering multiple head knocks, the player remains intent on continuing their career.
Brad Hardie told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that any such arrangement would likely be nullified by the collective bargaining agreement, noting that deals of this nature would typically require AFL approval.
“All of this stuff has to be ticked off by somebody at the AFL”, he said.
