Barnett reflected on life and politics with 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett, highlighting some of his lesser-known achievements as his proudest.
“I outlined that I would be a pro-development premier and I think I did that, in spades. I said I would be caring for those people in need and I think we did that, probably didn’t get the public recognition of that and I said I would lead a government of integrity and I’m not saying it was perfect but some ministers some members of parliament did the wrong thing on occasion and I was probably too tough, but I was tough on them. But the government I lead did not get into scandal as a government”, he said.
