One Nation’s Western Australian leader is optimistic about the upcoming Secret Harbour byelection, triggered by Labor MP Paul Papalia’s retirement.

Speaking to 6PR Drive host Mark Doran, Rod Caddies expressed confidence that his party will provide a strong challenge to Labor.

“I think we’re going to give them a very good run, looking to take a so-called safe seat from Labor and perhaps once we do that then the people of Western Australia will start to get a bit better representation because all of these Labor members, especially the ones in safe seats, might stand up and go ‘well, we better work a bit harder and do the right thing by the people we’re meant to be representing’,” he said.
