The state government has introduced an online registration system for off-road vehicles, including motorbikes, quad bikes and ATVs.

Motor Trade Association of Western Australia chief executive Neil Le Febvre told 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett that the move is a significant improvement, as owners previously had to visit a licensing centre to register their vehicle or renew their licence.

“We’d love to see that next step of taking this technology into the dealer online system as well, enabling the dealer to register the motorbike at the point of sale”, he said.
