Coroner’s murder ruling sparks fresh police focus on 16-year-old death
WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch said the force “really wants to get answers” for Josh Warneke’s family.

The commissioner told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that the 16-year-old case, which was labelled a murder by a coroner, has remained an active investigation.
“It’s always been an open homicide investigation … This is a little way forward for some more answers, but still no one has been brought before justice”, he said.
