One Nation opened its first Western Australian branch in Fremantle over the weekend, met by an angry crowd calling themselves the Western Australian Socialists.

One Nation senator Tyron Whitten told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that he respects the protesters’ right to a different opinion and acknowledged that for Pauline Hanson and One Nation, it will not be the last time they are heckled.

“She’s got a suit of armour on and no one’s going to penetrate that. She’s doing it for the right reasons; she’s got Australia’s best interest at heart at the end of the day”, he said.
