The squeeze is on: WA motorists reducing, combining and cancelling trips amid high fuel costs, RAC survey shows
The latest RAC survey reveals the dramatic impact of high fuel costs on Western Australian motorists since the Iran war started.
Rhys Heron, RAC head of communications, told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that the data is alarming: 70 per cent are struggling to afford fuel, 75 per cent are driving less and combining trips and 58 per cent are cancelling or postponing trips.
“Those are significant numbers. We wouldn’t see that type of an increase usually in an entire year or many years really,” he said.
