Professor Mike Dockery, principal research fellow at the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre, told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont why the RBA is expected to raise interest rates, but said that given the likelihood of a looming recession, it would be prudent to hold off one more time.

“It’s those households that are really bearing the brunt of the attempts to slow the economy down,” he said.
