La Capannina forced to close: Owner slams City of Stirling for ‘unfair’ lease termination

La Capannina Restaurant in Scarborough has alleged the City of Stirling has had their lease “unfairly terminated” and has been forced to close.

Karri Li, the owner of the popular restaurant overlooking the Scarborough pool, told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that she was given only hours before a long weekend started to source a lawyer and appeal against the decision.
She lodged the appeal, but “the council still locked the restaurant at midnight,” she said.
Li and her 40 staff are now in limbo waiting to hear from the council.
