More bones have been discovered on Rottnest Island near the Holy Trinity Church and the bus stop across the road.

Wayne Ryder, deputy chairperson of the Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation, told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that, while further investigation is required to confirm the findings, his understanding is that 12 people’s remains have been detected on the site.

He stated, ‘This discovery and the investigation has caused real grief and anger and distress across the aboriginal community,”.
