Lancelin 4×4 rescue goes wrong: The recovery vehicle ended up over a ledge
Coming to rescue 4WDs on beaches is not unusual for Lancelin 4×4 Recovery and Training, but a Land Rover recovery over the weekend did not go to plan when the rescue vehicle itself dropped over a ledge.

Bob Kilvington from Lancelin 4×4 Recovery and Training explained the incident to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl.
He said that in treacherous conditions, the original Land Rover had ended up in a sloppy hole with a stalled motor, so he contacted a friend to help get the vehicle out.
Unfortunately, that vehicle also ended up in a pickle.
“Because the waves were coming in, covering the ground up with weed, you couldn’t see where you were driving. He just drove and unfortunately went over the edge,” he said.
