Footage on social media has emerged showing students behaving disrespectfully and intimidating a relief teacher in a southern suburbs high school classroom.

Reacting to the footage, Kya Graves, President of the Principals’ Federation of WA, explained to 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that this behaviour is unfortunately not an isolated incident:

“Unfortunately its more common than we would like to think across our system that teachers and school leaders are disrespected by both other students and, sadly sometimes their parents and other community members just for trying to do their job,” she said.
