Nine sports reporter Danika Mason apologised on air after a live cross from the Winter Olympics to Today Show featured noticeably slurred speech.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford later told 6PR Breakfast host Millsy and Karl that the apologetic reporter admitted having a drink was not a good decision.

“I want to take full responsibility, it’s not the standard I set for myself,” said Danika.
