There is widespread dissatisfaction with the public school system, as parents, students, and teachers argue they can’t see any evidence that the state government’s promised $1.6 billion investment has made a difference.

Speaking to 6PR Breakfast host Millsy and Karl, State School Teachers Union President Matt Jarman highlighted the significant strain on the system, noting that one in four students in public classrooms have some form of disability and that classroom sizes are the largest in the country.

“For an economy that’s doing so well, we’re certainly not investing enough into public education,” he said.
