New data has revealed the number of Australians consulting medical specialists has fallen 10 per cent over the past five years, with some doctors charging more than $900 for a first appointment.

Private Healthcare Australia CEO Rachel David spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said individuals and their families were potentially getting sicker because they weren’t seeking medical advice due to it being too costly.
