With strong views on Peter Dutton’s big spend on defence, Jacqui discussed the poor recruitment levels. She also addressed the impact the cost of living is having on independent candidates and touched on the controversial term “Teals”, used for independents accepting money from Climate 200 founder Simon Holmes à Court.

“You say you’re independent, then move yourselves away from the Teal outfit and start doing it independently on your own two feet without expecting money to come from them,” she said.
