This month, NBN revealed the final phase of its fibre upgrade, a $3.8 billion investment to replace the remaining copper connections with full fibre.

Jane McNamara from NBN told Oliver Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live, ” “for more than 111,000 homes and businesses across metro Perth and regional WA, we are going to remove the copper part and replace it with full fibre.”

Ms. McNamara said the upgrades would deliver internet at the speed of light via fibre optic cable.
