A very important world record has been pulled on to Australian shores, with Wollongong-based music journo David James Young blowing away the record for most concerts attended in a year.

 His tally of 257 eligible gigs between January 2023 and 2024 has obliterated the former world record of 86, held by a fellow music enthusiast from New Jersey named Joshua Beck.

“I got to see some incredible stuff; I grew up idolising the Beatles, and to meet Paul McCartney was a dream come true,” Mr Young told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast.
