Headache relief clinic launched to ease burden on emergency departments

Jamie Burnett

The Perth Headache Network are striving to relieve pressure on emergency departments through acute care and long-term treatment for those suffering chronic headaches and migraines.

Perth Headache Network founder and clinical coordinator Raelene Clark told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live that there was a need to establish the headache network.

“If you ‘re actually having an episode of a migraine and you need help, they’re not going to help you at ED, if you know that’s the scenario you’re going to encounter, you can come see the acute care clinic and get the treatment that you need,” Ms Clark said.
