With Christmas just around the corner, e-scooters have proven to be a popular gift.

However, be warned. Over the past week, four fires have been caused by the batteries inside the popular scooters.

DFES have issued a safety reminder ahead of the gifting season, as the lithium-ion batteries that operate the scooters, have been known to cause extensive damages.
