Jetstar has today unveiled a major Perth expansion with the airline announcing they will use the west as a major hub for travel to Asia.

From next year the budget carrier will operate direct flights from Perth to Singapore, Phuket and Bangkok.

Jetstar Group CEO Stephanie Tully told Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live the airline has received new ‘neo’ aircraft which provide increased international capability.

Ms Tully announced a new pilot base in Perth, telling Oly at least 60 pilots would be based in the state.
