Simon Beaumont

Increasing reports of traffic obstructions, scams and even on-road violence have spurred further reforms to the “out-of-control” tow truck industry.

It follows a violent attack on a man in Perth’s Eastern Suburbs where he was threatened with a knife and allegedly hit by a truck in a shocking altercation.

WA Opposition and Nationals Leader Shane Love told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings there’s been a growing public outcry against the industry.

“Actions need to be taken to protect motorists and the industry operators who are doing the right thing,” he said.
