Labor to pursue treaty with Indigenous Australians under draft changes

Jamie Burnett

A Labor government would pursue a treaty with Indigenous Australians under draft changes to the party’s election platform, which will escalate the debate about the consequences of a successful Voice referendum.

Shadow Minister for Indigenous Affairs Jacinta Nampijinpa Price spoke with Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live.

“They [Labor] should own it, they should absolutely own it, and explain to the Australian people how they wish to implement those [Treaty] measures going forward,” she said.
