There are concerns ageism is blocking mature people from working forcing more people onto Centrelink.

This comes as the Government is set to raise JobSeeker payments for those over 55.

National Seniors Australia Chief Operating Officer Chris Grice told Julie-anne Sprague on Perth Live there is not enough support for mature workers.

“Older workers are reliable… but we’ve got a system that makes it so difficult,” said Mr Grice.
