With inside knowledge, former Eagle Will Schofield believes the WAFL team has not been set up to succeed which is also hindering the development of younger players.

Schoey told Adam Paplia on WWOS  the team does not have enough resources or support.

“The WAFL and the commission, they haven’t positioned that team to succeed… West Coast doesn’t have the system set up correctly either, they’re not allowing the players to succeed,” said Schoey.

“I don’t think the west coast players are getting the chance to develop either .”
