With the cost of living rising at an unprecedented rate, many people in the community are unable to pay their bills. 

However, for Sandra Stonehouse, owner of Yarloop Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, not paying the bills means the wildlife under her care suffer.

With over $3,500 in food bills for the animals she looks after, Ms Stonehouse has been financially struggling to keep her sanctuary afloat.

The Director of Pinjarra Community Bank enlisted 6PR to help surprise Ms Stonehouse and her husband with $3500 to help pay off this bill.
