Peter Kulage, who proudly coached Nestory at the Adelaide Croatia Raiders Soccer Club in the Under 11s, Under 12s, and Under 15s, told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont about Irankunda’s formative years, having seen his gift even then. Remembering his junior days fondly, Kulage said:

“It’s gotta be somewhere these kids wanna go and feel safe and feel happy and not pressured, and I’ve lived by that, and I think that we’ve seen the results.”
