The Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) WA told 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead the branch has “zero criminal allegations” but proposed new Federal laws could force any branch to accept an administrator.

There have been allegations of criminal behaviour and bikie gang links in the Victorian and South Australian branch of the union which have been placed into administration by the national office.

“The WA branch of the CFMEU has zero criminal allegations against it and we remain a strict zero tolerance policy for any criminal behaviour in our operations,” CFMEU WA State Secretary Mick Buchan said.
