The Acting Police Commissioner Col Blanch says two Youtubers who snuck into the AFL Grand Final at Optus Stadium are unlikely to face criminal charges.

The pair, known as misfitminds, donned high vis uniforms armed with a dolly and made their way past security into a service lift, straight into the stands of the stadium.

“That’s not something I don’t believe we’re going to progress from a criminal perspective,” Mr Blanch told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“Technically there could be an offence, but what’s in the public interest here is to make that it doesn’t happen again.

“We can’t endorse it, but certainly we wouldn’t want to put it through the court system.”
