Variety WA is celebrating 50 years of supporting children with special needs. To mark this milestone, a generous anonymous donor will double all donations made this June.

Jay Wakefield, Chairman of Variety, explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that the Big Bash plays an integral role in their fundraising efforts, raising about $1.5 million each year.

“We spend a lot of time out in the regions, so we are very keen to ensure the money goes not only to metropolitan families in need but also to regional children as well,” he said.
