Hope of recovery after a crushing week for the economy is being dashed, as Australia’s biggest companies see their values drop again on Friday.

Finance guru Scott Haywood told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast the market was hit hard this week and it’s going to get worse.

“It has been one of the worst weeks – without a catastrophe – that I’ve seen in about 25 years,” he told Parker.

“Our market has already fallen 6 per cent this week and is set to fall 150 points [when it opens today].”
