A workplace relations lawyer says he’s been inundated with inquiries from small business owners since vaccination mandates were announced.

From today a number of industries will require employees to have had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

But there is still a lot of confusion as to what responsibilities small businesses have.

“We have had an inordinate number of inquiries from clients around what they have to do, what they can do in relation to vaccines for their workforce,” Saul Harben, a workplace relations lawyer and partner at Clayton Utz, said on 6PR Breakfast.

“By-and-large most employers that I act for have already taken steps to address the situation.”
