When a 16-year-old stabbed a church bishop in Sydney last week, many were shocked by the narrative of extremism allegedly behind the attack.

Now, after a similar incident left another 16-year-old dead in front of a Perth Bunnings, harder questions are being asked.

Police Minister Paul Papalia talked to Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings about what police knew about the teen before the incident, as well as the challenges in tackling online extremism.
