With the King’s Coronation coming up, all of us subjects have been asked a very important question: are we ready to pledge allegiance?

All Australians have been invited to pledge by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, which has sparked a range of opinions.

Australian republic Movement chair Craig Foster told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings the call was a testament of the relevancy of the Royals.

“What a bizarre, absurd ask of people, but I think it really does encapsulate how outdated this whole institution is,” Mr Foster said.
