It’s going to bucket down today, between 30 and 60 millimetres expected in parts of the Perth metro area, with strong and possibly damaging winds.

Joey Rawson, a meteorologist from the Bureau of Meteorology, joined Gareth Parker to give an overview of the wet weather.

“The main theme for today is the winds are going to be increasing this afternoon and tonight, and we could be getting winds in excess of 100 kilometres per hour through the afternoon and through the night period,” he said.

“By tomorrow, things will be settling down, the winds will be easing, and the showers will also be easing.”
