An Australian university student has made her case as to why young Australians should be forced to complete compulsory national service, just like they do in Finland for men aged 18 and over.

The Australian National University student Carla Krnel spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said she believed most men opted for military service in Finland because they wanted to be part of the “comradery” that it provided.
