An alarming survey has revealed that approximately one-third of public health staff plan to quit their jobs within the next 12 months.

Naomi McCrae, Secretary of the Health Services Union WA, explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that the survey indicated staff are struggling to find relief in their current roles.

“The survey really revealed that long-term frustration that we have really seen kind of embedded in public health now, where there’s such strong demand all the time that people effectively burn out quickly,” she said.
