Flights between Western Australia and the East Coast have skyrocketed, making travel for many unaffordable during the festive season.

Travel agent Cassandra Oates-Tayler told 6PR Breakfast people need to book flights months in advance to avoid paying more for flights.

“People just might not know how far in advance they need to book,” said Ms Oates-Tayler.
