Why roll the dice on sex offenders? Adshead questions Corbett’s release

6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead has deplored the release of dangerous sex offender Tyrone Corbett after he reportedly removed the electronic monitoring bracelet meant to track him.
Corbett has since been apprehended on Marquis Street in Bentley after a six-day manhunt.
Opposition Justice Spokesperson Tjorn Sibma told Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings that Attorney General John Quigley’s claims the WA sex offender laws were the toughest in the country was “ludicrous”.

Detective Acting Inspector John Mottolini from WA Police’s sex crime division told Gary Adshead they had been hunting Mr Corbett from the moment he tampered with the monitoring device.
“Initially he went missing from the Mirrabooka and Balga area; we deployed a lot of resources in that area,” Detective Mottolini said.
