AirBnB has come out today saying homestays and house sharing is the “obvious solution” to Western Australia’s rental crisis.

With Universities starting in the next week, there is a flood of interstate and international students putting even more pressure on the rental market.

REIWA CEO Cath Hart told 6PR Afternoons shared housing could be a good short-term solution.

AirBnB head of public policy Michael Crosby told 6PR Afternoons he agreed with REIWA adding house sharing is a great way to combat the rising cost of living.

“It could really make a difference,” said Mr Crosby.
