There is a push to include eSports at the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

Gareth Parker was not a fan.

Sean Callanan, Founder of Sports Geek and owner of the League of Legends eSports team ‘Gravitas,’ told Gareth Parker why eSports could be making its debut.

“The International Olympic Committee (IOC) are all about audience and fans and more people are watching the Olympics,” he said.

“There are a lot of people growing up playing video games and are now watching eSports … it is literally an audience play.

“This is purely about how many eyeballs can the Olympics maintain and how can it stay relevant to a younger audience.”
