The Police Commissioner is talking tough about the antisocial behaviour by children as young as 10 that Kununurra is experiencing, guaranteeing boots on the ground 24/7.

However, former Police Superintendent David Parkinson, speaking on Perth Today with Simon Beaumont, expressed his frustration with the ongoing issue, arguing that it is not a policing matter.

“We have got an issue, sadly, our politicians and other agencies are scared of being labeled racists and bullies,” he said.

Police Minister Reece Whitby then weighed in, agreeing that the issue extends beyond the police and is deeply complex.

“Government can’t solve every single situation that arises, where are the parents, where’s mum and dad?” he said.
