Showbiz guru Peter Ford says he was never convinced by actor Jussie Smollett’s claims of a hate crime.

The Empire actor was found guilty by a Chicago on five of the six charges he face.

The accusations relate to January 2019, when Smollett claimed he was attacked by two men wearing Make America Great Again caps.

“My bulltish meter went off straightaway,” Peter Ford said on 6PR Breakfast.

“I just thought that this did not ring true to me”.
