Western suburb Mayors are claiming they are being shortchanged by the state government, arguing they need more taxpayer dollars for infrastructure to cope with increasing population density.

Paul Shaw, Town of Mosman Park Mayor, explained to 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett that he believes the area is being overlooked due to its status as a safe political seat.

“There needs to be infrastructure upgrades, to be done by the state government and at the moment there’s been no focus on that in the last 30 years,” he said.
