Younger generations are turning their backs on traditional weddings, opting for smaller more intimate weddings whilst also doing away with “giving the bride away” and tossing the bouquet. 

Author of Get Wed and co-founder of Wedshed Amy Parfett told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons couples are shaping weddings to their specific preferences. 

“We see more brides choosing to walk down the aisle arm in arm with both parents or with a different parent or carer or walk down the aisle with their partner or do away with the aisle all together”
