Questioned over the low number of speeding infringements on e-rideables (just 17 fines in 2025) WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch clarified the force’s approach to 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont.

Blanch explained that the issue isn’t about speeding, but about processing an unregistered vehicle that has the capability of going over 25km an hour.

“We don’t give out speeding fines to speeding e-ridable, we seize them and crush them,” he said.
